Meet Eden — The Heart Behind the Art

The Story

Eden Anthony is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the textures and forms of marine life, primarily through sculpture. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Ceramics from Rhode Island College in December 2021, where she was selected for a three-person student exhibition in the Chazen Family Gallery prior to her graduation in June 2021.

Eden is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at Hood College, where her practice continues to evolve both visually and conceptually. Her sculptures are inspired by the intricate textures and structures of coral reefs, sea anemones, and other marine organisms. The beach, a site of personal reflection, has influenced her exploration of organic forms and natural patterns.

In February 2024, Eden participated in the duo exhibition Ebb & Flow at Hood College, showcasing sculptures inspired by marine life. Her upcoming solo exhibition, The Final Reef, in April 2025, delves deeper into these oceanic themes, addressing the critical issue of coral bleaching. Through this work, Eden seeks to highlight the threats facing coral reefs and their vital role in marine ecosystems. She uses her art as a platform for environmental advocacy and raises awareness about their preservation.
